What do you think of when you hear Macau? It may be the ruins of St. Paul’s church or the Portuguese egg tart, or perhaps the Cotai Strip which makes Macau “Asia’s Las Vegas”. But did you know that there are some other ‘low-key’ places that are worth the visit and make for a great ‘insta-spiring’ photo? We love Instagram and know that you do too, so we’ve listed five locations for you to visit and take your shot.

Located right in between the gallant Cotai strip and laidback Taipa village, this restaurant is a location one must definitely visit. It has recipes that go back 100 years and an authentic taste of the Macanese cuisine. You might ask how is this cafe Instagram worthy if it literally is just a cafe? Try looking out at their exterior design, the entrance, and the green background that will make you look feel like you are lost in a never-ending labyrinth. In reality, it is just a wall.
We suggest you take a walk around the Carmel garden just a few minutes away from Cafè Litoral. Make your way through the different alleyways of the humble village and discover many relaxing and calming places in Taipa. Here you would find museums houses from the old times built by Portuguese locals that are inspired by architectural structures from Portugal. You would also find a beautiful garden decorated with various themes. A very different feel from the casinos and hotels and a very shot worthy location, indeed.
