SUMMARY:The Weight of Context: Works by Leong Fei In
DESCRIPTION:In first glance\, Leong Fei In’s works appear all net and organized\, however to attentive eyes\, her creations become discernible– the drops\, the fold of the paper and the cuts together constitute an organic texture. Fei In removes all visual and textual contents from newspapers and makes paper balls from the cutouts of the original newspapers. By doing so\, she has turned newspaper\, the two-dimensional form of media\, into a new “language” to communicate with the audience. \nWhen: 11:00am—7:00pm\, April 20—May 13\, (closed on Mondays) \nWhere: AFA Macau\, 1st Floor\, Tak Chun Macau Art Garden\, Avenida Dr. Rodrigo Rodrigues N. 265\, Macau \nHow much: Free admission \nFor more information please call+853 2836 6064 and email info@afamacau.com or visit their Facebook page.

SUMMARY:I Upload There I Exist - an Exhibition by Wong Weng Io
DESCRIPTION:This exhibition curated by Margarida Saraiva explores questions about relationships and impact in-between human existence\, technology\, information\, media\, artificial existence\, and robotics. Artist\, Wong Weng has been occupied with research\, thinking\, using intuitive cognition and improvisation to understand the subject of the future of society for almost a year. Which resulted in the process presented in the form of an exhibition that explores the paradox between the physical and virtual realities. \nIt presents a large scale artwork installation titled “The Omnipresence of Text”\, “Complex” and “Past”\, which is inspired by the Ether\, a science fiction novel set in the United States written by a Chinese author. Wong Weng assumes the role of being the “manipulator” producing a time-contraction and displacement of the story setting\, which expands the question of information\, manipulation\, and falsification into another dimension\, one that is atemporal\, transhistorical and transnational \nWhen: 10:00am—7:00pm (no admission after 6:30pm)\, May 8—June 7 (closed on Mondays) \nWhere: Headquarters of Oriental Foundation\, Casa Garden\, 13 Praça de Luís de Camões \nHow much: Free admission \nFor more information please email msaraiva@babel-cultural-organization.com or visit their website and Facebook page.
