DESCRIPTION:Co-organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) and the Macau Artist Society\, “Purge One’s Mind: Trio Exhibition by Leong Kit Man\, Im Hok Lon and Mok Hei Sai” will be inaugurated on September 25 at the Lakeside Gallery\, Room S1\, in the Anim’Arte Nam Van. It is the first painting and calligraphy works exhibition organized at Anim’Arte Nam Van featuring a total of 25 artworks by three young artists. \nLeong Kit Man is currently studying for a Ph.D. degree in fine arts at the Chinese National Academy of Arts. She is now engaged in the research of fine art theories\, artistic creation\, and Chinese painting education and specializes in the creation of Chinese painting in the gongbi style. She was a lecturer in the Design Programme of the City University of Macau. Her works have been selected for the collections of the government and private institutions. She is active in exhibition activities in Macau\, mainland China\, and abroad. \nMok Hei Sai (pen name: Xing Yue) obtained a master degree in literature and art studies at the East China Normal University. He has been engaged in teaching calligraphy for many years and is committed to the promotion of traditional culture. Over the past few years\, he has cooperated with artists from the fields of the tea ceremony and leather carving\, in an attempt to promote the charm of Chinese characters. \nIm Hok Lon is a graduate of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts specializing in landscape painting. He is committed to the promotion of Chinese painting and carving. His works mostly feature landscapes and animals and were exhibited in mainland China\, Macau\, Hong Kong and Taiwan. This time Pakeong will have his latest artworks including installation\, animation and etc. aims at opening up new perspectives in which the viewer is\, fortunately\, able to engage. \nWe tend to generalize on the basis of our given experience of how things are and then believe that we hooked up with the fundamental level of reality. The world might not exist but the world of Fortes Pakeong Sequeira is bigger than its own limits\, and his artworks include not just humans but elves and fairies\, angels and demons\, or maybe they are “unicorns on the far side of the moon”\, or maybe they are only sweet and angry cartoons – as all of this exists\, all of this is part of the world even if only in imagination and in the artist’s own field of sense. \nThese  Lonely Tones cartoons are not real humans. They don’t exist in the realm of scientific explanation but they do exist in Fortes Pakeong Sequeira’s artworks. DESCRIPTION:The quality of films made by university students has been steadily increasing in recent years. Many have shined in various film festivals\, winning different kinds of important awards. Featuring outstanding student films from mainland China\, Macau\, Hong Kong and Taiwan. This is definitely a rare opportunity to enjoy their remarkable short and feature-length films. There will be 22 shorts films and audiences can appreciate all these films at the 6-day Student Film Festival. Covering a wide variety of characteristics and tone\, the films range from the experimental to the more commercial. \n8 series will be screened in this Student Film Festival. They are: \n1. Macao Tertiary Institution Students’Short Films 1: 6 short films from Macao Polytechnic Institute and University of Macau running for a total of 67 minutes will be shown. They are Live Streaming\, Euthanasia\, The World of Airplanes (animation)\, Absurdity\, Merryland(animation)\, and The Last Ride (documentary). \n2. Mainland China’s University Student Film 1: Bad Daddy from Beijing Film Academy\, made in 2015\, and winner of the 15th Guangzhou College Student Film Festival\, “My First Film” –  Excellent Director\, Excellent Film. \n3. Hong Kong Universities Students’ Short Films 1: 2 short films from City University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Baptist University running for 56 minutes. They are: The Smokies and Lotus. \n4. Taiwan Universities Students’ Short Films 1: 2 short films from Taipei University of the Arts and Shih Hsin University running for 49 minutes will be bought to you.Elsewhere and Wings. \n5. Mainland China’s Universities Students’ Short Films 2:  Oasis and The Last Shotfrom Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (UIC) running for 49 minutes will be screened. \n6.
