SUMMARY:Feast of Hungry Ghosts 2018
DESCRIPTION:This festival is all about appeasing\, honoring and respecting the ghosts. It takes place over the course of the month\, the seventh lunar month\, which runs from August 11–September 9\, with the key date being on August 25. During this Ghost Month\, they say the gates of hell stay open until the festival comes to a close after 30 days. SUMMARY:World Animation Festival in Summer
DESCRIPTION:This festival will bring 14 outstanding animations to Macau\, each featuring a different topic and style. There is also a two-hour family animation workshop where children and parents will be able to learn how to make a simple animation. Many of the 14 animation films were nominated for\, or have won\, important awards at various major film festivals. \nThere are four different categories of the World Animation Festival\, including the Bright Series\, Dark Series\, China’s Hit Series and a Director-in Focus section focusing on the late movie master Satoshi Kon (1963-2010)\, whose four best animation films will be screened. Other key films include Oscar-nominated The Breadwinner (about an 11-year-old girl who has to take care of her family and learn to be independent after her father’s arrest). There is also Isle of Dogs\, a new hit film from Wes Anderson\, which is unique both in terms of storytelling and animation. Another interesting work of animation is Night Is Short\, Walk On Girl\, about a young girl on a one night journey in Tokyo\, as she encounters lots of drunken people and mysterious events. DESCRIPTION:The annual Malaysian Food Festival is back in Macau for the seventh year in a row! Adventurous diners can take advantage of this exclusive opportunity to taste baked lobster with durian and cheese\, a special creation just for Galaxy Macau. There will also be Double Boiled Coconut Chicken Soup with Durian and Abalone\, rich in tropical zest and nutritive elements; and durian-flavored desserts galore like Musang King Durian and Bird Nest Pastries. Oh\, and to wash it all down they will also be serving teh tarik\, Malaysia’s popular milk tea beverage during the buffet. \nEach of the 15 guest chefs has prepared a different regional Malaysian dish to serve at traditional hawker stalls for the festival.
