In addition to classic hot pots such as braised lamb brisket casserole at lei ka choi\, Broadway Macau also introduces 14 new hot pot and clay pot dishes. \nThis October\, the popular braised lamb brisket casserole at Lei Ka Choi is back; once again bringing guests quality grass-fed Chinese black lamb\, plus crisp water chestnuts\, silky bean curd skin and secret sauce. Last year\, more than 7\,000 of these casseroles were sold in six months\, representing more than seven tons of lamb brisket used. The signature casserole is prepared in a traditional clay pot over a charcoal flame to ensure slow\, even heat that tenderizes the meat and creates a harmony of flavors. \nIf you are looking for an authentic Japanese hot pot experience\, don’t miss the Chi Sasa Japanese Cuisine delicacy. The hot pot soup base features quality miso paste simmered with wagyu beef and assorted seafood. Apart from the indulgent assortment of fresh prawns\, squid\, fish and wagyu beef\, the delectable pork meatballs are handmade with Japanese kurobuta pork\, which is known for its tenderness. As one of the oldest and most well-established restaurants in Macau\, Fong Seng Lai Kei is famous for its traditional Shunde dishes. This year\, Fong Seng Lai Kei is bringing assorted seafood and suckling pig hot pot to welcome the autumn and winter seasons. Savoury suckling pig\, sweet seafood and fresh vegetables are simmered together to create a hearty and chunky soup base. Parsley and coriander are added before serving to impart sweetness to this nourishing stew that is perfect for the cooler seasons. \n \nKatong Corner’s chefs\, meanwhile\, have handpicked high-quality winter melon\, ginseng\, coconut and chicken\, preparing chicken with ginseng and coconut Casserole. DESCRIPTION:“Macao Light Festival 2018 – Time Travel in Macao” will be staged in until January\, 2019. Revolving around the concept of time\, the Festival will weave up local elements of gastronomy\, humanity\, architecture\, culture\, creativity and other realms. There will be three different routes expand through the city. \nThe event will not only manifest the city’s East-meets-West cultures\, but also portray nostalgic stories and childhood memories of Macau people\, leading spectators onto a glittery journey across time and space in Macau. More gastronomic elements are added to the programme and routes of the Macao Light Festival in parallel with the “2018 Macao Year of Gastronomy”. Five projection mapping shows will be staged at three locations\, besides an itinerant projection show at the Taipa Municipal Market. \nProjection Mapping creative teams are invited from Portugal\, Belgium and Macau to perform at the Ruins of St. Paul’s. Besides projection mapping shows\, interactive games and light installations showcasing the gastronomic culture of Macau\, “Food Truck x Light” and Gastronomy Night Market will debut as new highlights to deliver the cross-field creativity of Macau as a Creative City of Gastronomy. \n \nIn 2015\, the Macau Government launched the first edition of the Macao Light Festival which is now held annually in December at various locations in Macau Peninsula and on the islands. The event program includes projection mapping\, light installations\, interactive games and a series of other activities. SUMMARY:EXiM 2018 Macau Experimental Video Festival
DESCRIPTION:Since 2011\, EXiM has invited curators from different places to curate a range of screenings\, live projections and multimedia (electronic music\, sound + moving image) performances. They have respectively focused on experimental moving images from Asia\, Taiwan\, South Korea\, Mainland China\, Hong Kong\, Portugal and Macau\, and China-Hong Kong-Taiwan-Macau. Genres of EXiM work include 16mm experimental films\, video art and experimental animation. \nThis year\, Ox Warehouse has moved to a new space – the Post-Ox Warehouse Experimental Site – to continue the event\, and EXiM 2018 is no longer focusing on screening activities; instead\, works are shown in exhibition format with the focus on Macau experimental film and video creations\, inviting local artists who have been creating experimental moving images\, featuring Macau works previously shown in EXiM events. \nThe event was curated by Bianca Lei and includes works by the following artists: Chan Lei I & Lei Man Kit\, Suki Chan\, Cheong In Fong\, Ivy Cheong\, Faye Choi\, Jose Drummond\, Ryan Foo\, Ho Ka Cheng\, Alice Kok\, Bianca Lei\, Ella Lei\, Fish Leong\, Joein Leong\, Napx Leong\, Paula Lo\, Leo Luan\, Yves Etienne Sonolet and Biyi Zhu. This year\, the organization announced a new competitive section: New Chinese Cinema\, which will present a dedicated showcase of outstanding films from Chinese-speaking territories to audiences and industry guests. \nAt the Macao Cultural Centre\, cinema fans can be part of Local View Power\, this year integrated in the Cinema Festival. Boosted by a rising number of local film producers and promoting entities\, Macau’s thriving cinematic scene hasn’t stopped growing over the last decade. DESCRIPTION:This year’s Jigsaw International Music Festival\, organized by Elite Fun Entertainment Limited\, will feature some of the best acts in the international DJ scene. Headlining the festival will be Steve Aoki\, who will perform alongside high-profile names such as Quintino\, Ummet Ozcan\, Carl Nunes\, Quentin Mosimann\, as well as Binary\, DJ Chozie\, and DJ Rayray. This year\, organizers are working with a renowned stage production team to create a unique stage design and lighting effects to put together the ultimate immersive and visually-inspiring EDM experience under the theme of “Future. Tech. Music”. \nThe event space\, which can hold up to 10\,000 people\, has a unique central dance floor that extends across the hall\, allowing audiences to get as close to the stage as possible. The dance floor is lined with VIP booths\, offering a diverse selection of fine wines and snacks to truly create a music festival experience like no other. \nChozie \nMiami-born Steve Aoki is currently number nine on the Top 100 DJs ranking by DJMAG and has collaborated with a long list of famous artists that include Daddy Yankee\, Linkin Park\, Fall Out Boy and more recently\, Louis Tomlinson on the hit single\, Just Hold On. Aoki tours over 200 international shows and music festivals annually\, including Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival\, and will surely bring the heat to the Jigsaw stage. Also performing at Jigsaw 2018 is Dutch DJ and producer Quintino\, who burst into the global dance music scene in 2011\, when he released his album with Sandro Silva\, Epic\, which went platinum\, setting the foundation for his successful career as an international DJ. He quickly jumped from #80 on DJMAG’s list of TOP 100 DJs in 2016 to #32 in 2018\, with major tracks “Freak” and “I Just Can’t” crossing over 40 million views online. \nBinary \nAnother high-profile name to appear in the Jigsaw 2018 line-up is Ummet Ozcan\, whose hits include “Raise Your Hands“\, “Smash“ and “Superwave“. He has performed at major EDM festivals around the world such as Electric Daisy Carnival\, Creamfields and Global Gathering. Carl Nunes\, one the most influential DJs from Latin America\, and Quentin Mosimann\, number 93 in the world according to DJMAG’s Top 100 DJs\, will also be taking over the Jigsaw stage this year. These performances will be supported by the also much-anticipated warm-up DJs\, including Binary\, DJ Chozie\, and DJ Rayray.
