DESCRIPTION:MGM is celebrating Chef Mauro Colagreco’s extraordinary achievement of scoring No. 1 at the World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2019 at Grill 58 of MGM Cotai\, for three days only from October 18 to 20. The world’s best chef\, also the celebrity consultant chef of Grill 58\, will prepare an exclusive celebration menu in person for all gourmands to savor\, here in Macau. Topped with rinds of combawa and trout eggs\, the dish is made to be a true explosion of flavors. \n \nAveyron lamb rack\, eggplants\, black garlic\, anchovies\, and lemon fully delivers Chef Colagreco’s refined pursuit of culinary excellence. The finest\, soft and tender Aveyron lamb\, grilled to perfection\, layered with flavors of smokiness\, savory and citrus make for a remarkable\, well complemented and balanced dish to impress all. \nWhen: Friday\, Saturday and Sunday\, October 18\, 19 (dinner) and 20 (lunch)\, 2019 \nWhere: Grill 58\, MGM Cotai\, Av. da Nave Desportiva\, Macau \nHow much: Six-course dinner – MOP $1\,888 per person* \nFour-course lunch set – MOP $888 per person* \nFor more information and reservations\, call +853 8806 2318 \n*Subject to 10% service charge

SUMMARY:Shi Fu Miz Festival - Autumn 2019
DESCRIPTION:Shi Fu Miz Festival returns to Hong Kong this October for its fifth iteration. On October 26 and 27\, 2019\, the beloved boutique festival will once again settle its sound system on Cheung Chau\, a small island just 30 minutes from the mainland by ferry. There\, near the island’s idyllic golden sand beaches\, three stages will unfold in the grasses of Sai Yuen Farm. The musical programme once again centers around house and techno and will be sidelined by plenty of dusk till dawn activities like yoga\, workshops\, tattoos\, street art and martial arts. \nSince its inception in 2016\, the festival has rapidly grown and now welcomes an intimate audience of 2\,000. After seeing first hand the demand for intelligent electronic music\, a lack of platforms to showcase these kinds of artists\, and a desire to grow the regional music scene\, since 2019 Shi Mu Fiz has evolved into a biannual event. It has now become synonymous with eclectic and forward-thinking artists who push the boundaries of electronic music in a mystical setting that evokes feelings of inclusivity and freedom. Most importantly\, this year\, the festival will further its commitment to sustainability by holding eco-talks and beach cleanups\, as well as setting new goals towards its journey to becoming zero-waste. Unifying a tribe of people responsible for and sensitive to environmental issues\, Shi Fu Miz looks to become a sustainable exemplary by being a low waste event that forbids the use of plastics bottles on site. Festivalgoers are instead encouraged to bring their own reusable bottle and take advantage of the free water dispensers scattered across the site. \nOther initiatives will be introduced this year include replacing the plastic bags usually found in rubbish bins with biodegradable bags. Stages and decoration will also be built up of recycled and upcycled materials. Finally\, the festival is encouraging its guests to seek out more information surrounding sustainability by participating in eco-talks\, eco-workshops\, and more. Shi Fu Miz Festival is a music and art project created by the Hong Kong-based creative agency: FuFu and the music collective La Mamie’s from France. Their mantra is to offer a varied program of worldwide electronic music combining live music\, DJ sets and original cultural activities around art in a humanized festival\, where the spirit of the well-being is the keyword. \nSaturday’s line-up includes Camion Bazar\, CARISTA\, Club Kowloon\, Josey Rebelle\, KiNK (live)\, La Mamie’s\, LB aka LABAT\, Lena Willikens\, Max Davis\, Mengzy\, Peach b2b Shanti Celeste\, Or:la\, Stephen Andarakis\, Utopia Hong Kong and Yukari BB. Sunday is filled with the following: Elise\, Jazzanova (DJ Set by Alex Barck)\, Johnny Hiller\, KiNK (live)\, K-Melo\, La Mamie’s\, LB aka LABAT\, Marcellus Pittman Unirhythm\, Midori / Menace\, Ocean Lam\, ROAM Selectors\, Zepa Records and 7Elevn. \nWhen: Saturday and Sunday\, October 26 and 27\, 2019 \nWhere: Sai Yuen Farm\, Cheung Chau Island\, Hong Kong \nHow much: Two-day pass – HKD $680 + fees (regular tickets)\, HKD $880 + fees (last chance tickets) \nDay pass – HKD $480 + fees (regular tickets)\, HKD $580 + fees  (last chance tickets) \nFree for kids under 12 years old (accompanied by an adult) \nFor more information and ticketing\, check here

SUMMARY:Tales of Awadh by The Golden Peacock
DESCRIPTION:Featured image: Pay Ka Shorba \nThe Golden Peacock celebrates Awadhi cuisine\, the centuries-old cooking tradition native to the city of Lucknow in northern India. Infused with saffron and an array of colorful spices\, it is an irresistible aromatic cuisine that draws influences from the culinary cultures of Central Asia\, the Middle East\, and northern India. \nAwadhi cuisine is renowned for its Dum style of cooking. This style of cooking is when the meats and vegetables of each dish are slow-cooked in dough sealed containers over a very low flame. Shami kebabs\, Galouti kebabs\, Kakori kebabs\, Seekh kebabs\, Kormas and Pulao–all cooked in Dum style–are now synonymous with the city of Lucknow. “Tales of Awadh by The Golden Peacock” is an ode to the rich culinary heritage of Lucknow and a profoundly diverse cuisine rooted in a myriad of culinary cultures. \nAwadhi Tarkari \nThis exclusive array of dishes starts with entrées such as hazrat gunja ka chaat (heirloom tomato\, assorted chickpea\, cilantro\, puffed rice\, green peas\, crispy vermicelli\, potato)\, lobster and crab galoti (French Brittany blue lobster\, Sri Lankan crab\, cloves\, cardamom\, rose petal\, sandalwood powder)\, or murgh paan ka neza (organic chicken supreme\, saffron\, fried onion\, cashew nuts\, smoked cardamom). Mains include keema ka burfi (Australian lamb\, quail egg\, almond\, clarified butter\, cinnamon\, pistachio)\, machhli musallam (pomfret fish\, organic prawn\, poppy seed\, coconut\, almond\, yoghurt\, mace) and awadhi tarkari (French charlotte potato\, heirloom baby carrots\, dill leaves\, haricot beans\, baby corn)\, among others. For dessert\, there is lucknowi makkhan malai (organic quinoa\, ruby chocolate\, assorted nuts\, saffron\, rose petal) and musafir lacchanaia (smoked cherry\, organic chia seed\, served with ice-cream). \nThe Golden Peacock serves artisanal Indian cuisine and has maintained its one Michelin star since 2014 with its impeccable dishes and faultless service. \nWhen: November 1–December 20\, 2019 \nWhere: The Golden Peacock\, Level 1\, Shop 1037\, The Venetian Macao\, Estrada da Baía de Nossa Senhora da Esperança\, Cotai \nHow much: MOP $128–208 per dish \nReservations at The Golden Peacock can be made by calling +853 8118 9696 or by emailing goldenpeacock.reservation@sands.com.mo.
