MGM Cotai’s mixology establishment, Bar Patuá offers a compelling range of liquors, unique cocktails, and delicious snacks. Named after the almost forgotten Macanese creole language which fuses Chinese, Portuguese, Malay, and Sinhalese, Bar Patuá pays tribute to the rich multicultural heritage of the city evoking the days when traders and workers brought exotic goods and tales of adventure throughout the world.
Elegant and sophisticated, Patuá’s interior embodies the fusion of Eastern and Western traditions, with classic and contemporary elements. It is also cozy and welcoming, thanks to the plush sofas and armchairs, as well as intimate corners behind the curtains and dimmed lights. Guests who are into mixology will love ten original cocktails created by the awarded bartender Paul Zhang. Paul mixes traditional Chinese liquors and flavors with Western ones to make perfectly balanced combinations that you will not find anywhere else. Beyond cocktails, Patuá’s bartending team managed to collect a decent number of liquors, including some rare gins such as small-batch Thai or Shanghai gin.
The food menu features some creative snacks like drunken foie gras lollipops, tea-smoked quail eggs, and compressed watermelon with lime, ginger, and rum–more original alternatives to classic bar bites.
