What does fashion mean to you?
For me, fashion is about feeling good about myself, taking inspiration from places and people and putting them together to make something that is my own, something that I’m proud of and enjoyed creating. It gives me the confidence to approach my everyday challenges. Like Bill Cunningham once said : “Fashion is the armor to survive the reality of everyday life.”
How would you describe your personal style?
I’d say the best way to describe my personal style in one simple word is … VERSATILE. I hate conforming to a specific style because I’m always open to stepping out of my comfort zone and switching up my looks. I have so many different pieces in my wardrobe and I love mixing and matching to create different outfits with some of the same pieces.
Your favourite place to shop in Macau?
I have to say that my favorite place to shop in Macau is The Venetian probably because it has a lot of clothing stores, from Bershka to Zara. The Venetian is huge. There isn’t anything you can’t buy at The Venetian.
What is your view on Macau’s fashion scene, do we have one?
I don’t think Macau has a fashion scene. From my point of view, Macau is very different from other cities because it lacks a fashion scene. Everyone dresses however they feel like. And that’s the beauty of Macau, everyone can express themselves without being judged for being different.
How can Macau inspire the way you dress?
Macau inspires the way I dress in a way no other place has ever inspired me. Probably because it has a lot of different and beautiful cultures that it has opened my eyes and makes me want to try different things.
What would be an ideal weekend in Macau?
My perfect weekend would be full of sunshine. I’d have a lovely long run before the sun comes up and then a nice relaxing continental breakfast on the beach probably in cheoc van beach, then a nice bike ride in the afternoon. Sunday would obviously be a lazy day of drinking coffee at a sidewalk cafe with friends, people watching and at the end of the day, watching a film.
What’s your favourite place in Macau to take photos?
I love Macau’s old village! I think it’s magical, with a lot of beautiful places to take photos.
Who takes photos for your outfits?
When I’m with friends I usually ask then to take a few photos . Of course, they then ask me to take some as well , so it’s a fun thing to do, especially if your friend is a good photographer.
What’s your fashion motto?
When it comes to style, I have but a single motto: wear only what feels good for you, and what makes you feel confident.
What is your favorite fashion magazine? and why ?
Vogue Magazine without a doubt! This is the ultimate fashion magazine for me. It’s always has a brilliant cover, beautiful layout and design. I like Vogue because it has the best of the new runway looks. That’s where I get all my inspiration!
