Celebrate the 200th anniversary of Billecart-Salmon, the oldest continuously family-owned champagne house on 29 March at Vida Rica Restaurant. Enjoy a five-course dinner curated by Chef de Cuisine Matthias Knilling while Sebastien Papin from Billecart-Salmon explains each pairing.
The dinner will highlight Cuvée Nicolas François 2006, an exceptional cuvée that was created in 1964 as a tribute to the House’s founder. Formed from the results of blending the Grands Crus by Côte de Blancs vineyards (Chardonnay) and the Montagne de Reims (Pinot Noir), the aroma of this champagne highlights preserved peaches, fine apple tart and lemon verbena tea.
Founded by Nicolas François Billecart and Elisabeth Salmon, the couple started Maison Billecart-Salmon in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, France, the family’s home town after they got married in 1818. Since its establishment, six generations have succeeded the family’s business with the seventh generation preparing to take the helm.
