Ramen Kouji serves traditional Japanese dishes and specializes in ramen, the typical noodle soup very popular in Japan. Daily homemade, this restaurant’s noodles quality–and remaining ingredients–are good. There are two branches in town: one in Macau peninsula, close to Rua da Felicidade, and one close to Taipa Village.
Both spots are quite small with few tables. Reservations are not possible, so it works on a first-come first-served basis. Ramen is their main dish and there are many variations available: from vegetarian to meat-based, fish or seafood, there are different choices. However, one can also request guiozas–Japanese-style dumplings–and a few appetizers (hot and cold).
Their Taipa branch is located near Cuppa Coffee and opposite Adega Velha. The Macau branch is in the city centre, just five minutes walk from venues such as Naughty Nuri’s, Anak Phillipine Bread. Ramen Kouji is open from 12:30pm everyday, but closes soon at night, so be sure to head there early for dinner.
