The 2017 Macau Open Badminton, Part of the BWF Grand Prix Gold Series is an annual sports event that will be held on November 7 to 12 at Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion in Macau.
It was first organized in 2006 and is now in its 12th year. Every year, with approximately 300 players from 20 countries and regions participate in Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles to contest for the tournament total prize money of approximately MOP$1,000,000 (USD$120,000). In previous years, some of the outstanding players had also participated in Macau Open in the past few years, they are Chen Qingchen, Jia Yifan, Li Junhui, Liu Yuchen from China, Chou Tien Chen, Tai Tzu Ying from Chinese Taipei, Srikanth Kidambi from India, Ng Ka Long from Hong Kong China, Akane Yamaguchi from Japan etc.
