Iconic Aussie rocker Jimmy Barnes is set to perform his greatest hits at The Parisian Theater for one night only on Saturday, December 9.
Considered by many to be the heart and soul of Australian rock ‘n’ roll, Barnes has enjoyed a colorful 40-year musical career and lived to tell the tale, earning him a place in the heart of every Australian in the process. Along the way, he has sold more records in Australia than any other local rock and roll artist.
After enjoying initial success with his legendary band “Cold Chisel”, Barnes went solo in 1984 with his debut album “Bodyswerve” immediately topping the charts, as did all his albums for a decade thereafter. His 1986 album, “For the Working Class Man”, gave him a signature sound and cemented his place at the center of his generation of Australians. Not only is it one of the most well-known songs in the country, it is also regarded as a ‘theme’ song for many Australians.
