The Higher Education Bureau encourages and supports Macau higher education institutions to organize visual arts exhibitions and performances, in order to share the happiness of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao SAR with the public. These activities are organized by students and academic staff, together with professional associations local and abroad. From June to October, there are exhibitions of photography, painting and video, performance galas and graduation exhibitions that cover cross-media, photography, design and architecture. There are more than 25 activities to enjoy!
In September, there is a gala taking place at University of Macau in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival, so be sure to put on your best outfit and head to Cheong Kun Lun College to have some fun. August starts in grand style at the same place, with a mini-cinema festival at the same spot: until September 17, 2019, the University of Macau exhibits movies for all to enjoy. The Macao Polytechnic Institute (IPM) has a series of exhibitions and other activities: Cultural Creative Community showcases the result of a research about local shops that used creativity to boost their business. The series “Lunch Time Concerts” is also included in this Art Macao event! Students are required to perform at different place on campus at lunch time, which brings dynamism to the school.
