Try the authentic Japanese Set Lunch Menu created by Executive Chef Akira Hayashi of Okura’s famed Yamazato Restaurant.
Tanabata is an ancient Chinese love story derived from two thousand years ago about the Princess and the Cowherd, who could only meet once a year on the seventh day of the seventh month in the lunar calendar. It was introduced to Japan as a traditional festival afterwards. Japanese would write their wishes on Tanzaku paper (colorful, small strips of papers) and hang them on bamboo branches for making wishes and decorative purposes.
