Macau will have its own TEDx! Called TEDx SenadoSquare, it is hosted by the Attic Association of Macau. Taking place on March 3, 2019, the conference aims to share ideas to achieve the spirit of TED “Ideas worth spreading”. At the same time, it creates links for outstanding people from all walks of life in Macau. It motivates participants to establish links with local communities. As the first conference of this kind in Macau, they intend to be a “boat” that ripples the water of the pond in Macau, and eventually, the wave will travel around the world.
TEDx is an international community that organizes TED-style events anywhere and everywhere, celebrating locally-driven ideas and elevating them to a global stage. TEDx events are produced independently of TED conferences. Each event curates speakers on their own, but based on TED’s format and rules.
