Bene Food & Wine Mercato aims to feature rich and hearty dishes made with the highest quality ingredients from northern Italy with “The North”. After all, northern Italy is home to some of the best cheeses in the world!
“The North” features canederli con burro e salvia – bread and pancetta dumplings served with butter sage and parmigiano, and crespelle alla valdostana – baked crepes stuffed with fontina cheese, ham and mushrooms. For something more substantial, feast on brasato al Barolo – slow red wine braised oyster blade beef served with mash potato or the Milan classic buseca alla Milanese – slow braised beef tripe and beans. The mouthwatering regional specialty, vitello tonnato – cold carved roasted veal loin with tuna, anchovy and caper sauce will also be featured.
Directed by Executive Sous Chef Luca Pecorari, the 2019 Mercato series is held on a Friday and Saturday every middle of the month. This gives diners the opportunity to experience the true Italian way of life – la dolce vita – through carefully curated, special menus and some of the best Italian wines available in Macau.
In its third year, Bene Food & Wine Mercato is a unique dining concept that explores the culinary traditions and authentic flavors of Italy. Featuring a vibrant market atmosphere, diners can wine and dine like a true Italian while browsing the wine displays and interactive cooking stations.
