Recipient of prizes at the 2019 Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow and at the 2018 Long-Thibaud Crespin competition in Paris, Japanese-American violinist Mayumi Kanagawa is known for her rich, sound, and profound musicality. For this concert, she will interpret an enchanting, romantic violin concerto by Erich Wolfgang Korngold, a great composer of film music of the 20th century; and, Christoph Poppen, principal conductor of the Cologne Chamber Orchestra and principal guest conductor of Hong Kong Sinfonietta, will once again conduct Macao Orchestra for an interpretation of Schumann’s vibrant “Symphony No. 1 – Spring”, bringing to you a perfect sweet love-filled Valentine’s night!
