Nothing makes for a better start to summer than banging your head to the beat of loud music in an open-air setting filled with vibrant art installations underneath sun-drenched skies. We’re talking about a music and arts festival, of course! And while we’re thousands of miles away from the undeniably sought-after festival that’s in every Millennials’ bucket list known as Coachella, we can still prance and dance and hashtag desert vibes—or in this case beach vibes—in our very own Hush!! Full Music Festival at Hac Sa Beach.
It goes without saying that where there’s sun, sea, sand and lots of dancing involved, skin-bearing outfits are mandatory. And while we pretend to be heading down to Indio, California, let’s also take some sartorial inspiration from Coachella-goers for key pieces to wear to Hush!!, taking note of where to shop around Macau.
Off-Shoulder or Flare-Sleeved Blouses with High-waisted Shorts
Off-shoulder and flare-sleeved tops are really trendy this summer, so they’re as easy to find as they are to wear. They go pretty much with any kind of denim bottoms. But knowing that we’ll be moving around way too much, best to wear it simply with high-waisted denim shorts. Check out a few options from Stradivarius below and with luck you’ll be able to find them at the Venetian.
Crop top with central frill
Crochet shirt with sweetheart neckline
For a fail-proof outfit that doesn’t need much styling, yet still screams summer, opt for a playsuit with a playful touch like frills or a v-neck. Hit our local H&M branch at the Galaxy Macau for some festival-worthy playsuits like the examples below.
Printed Sun Dress
There’s no easier and breezier way to feel like a festival nomad than wearing a printed sun dress, particularly one made out of sheer or lightweight material. Head over to Cerejeira, at Ginza Plaza or the Venetian Macau, for multiple printed dress options.
If you prefer an edgier take on a festival outfit, go for an oversized graphic tee with a mini skirt. You can easily find one from the men’s section of most fashion retail stores. But if you’re looking for one of a kind, such as band tees of designer vintage, now’s the time to pay a visit to our local vintage retailer Macau Vintage Market for some plausible options.
