As its name suggests, Afrikana is an African-themed bar that serves a variety of specialties from across the continent. The whole place is designed in a traditional African style and the dining rooms occupy replicas of authentic huts, with plenty of tribal handicrafts around and dome-shaped thatched roofs above.
Although the restaurant has been transformed into an evening bar and the rich buffet is no longer there, the menu still features a lot to choose from—whole barbecued lamb (the restaurant’s specialty), African chicken, BBQ meats, seafood, fish, salads and more. Everything on the menu is good, even if it’s not authentic “African” cuisine.
An African-style bar is comprised of eight thatched-roof pavilions with seating capacity for 300. It serves casual drinks, beers, and a wide selection of spirits, liqueurs and wines in friendly, sociable environments. Darts, snooker and karaoke are also available. Afrikana can be set up for private parties and events. There are daily performances by in-house Fisher Bands from 9pm to 1am for you to enjoy the buzzing energy at night!
