Fans can expect a special evening of thrilling entertainment when One: Kings & Conquerors, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) extravaganza takes place at The Venetian ® Macao’s Cotai Arena on Saturday, August 5, 2017.
Following a triumphant event in 2016, ONE Championship, the largest sports media property in Asian history, will bring its second blockbuster event to Macao. This event will once again light up the glamorous Cotai Arena with a showcase of authentic martial arts action. In the main event, reigning champion Bibiano Fernandes of Brazil will take on top contender Andrew Leone of the United States for the ONE Bantamweight World Championship.
Making up the bill at the action spectacular are some of the brightest international stars on the Asian MMA circuit, including 27-year old Timofey Nastyukhin from Russia competing in ONE Championship’s stacked lightweight division, where he will meet Koji “The Commander” Ando, one of Japan’s fiercest competitors; Shannon “One Shin” Wiratchai of Thailand who takes on 34-year old veteran “Ruthless” Rob Lisita of Campbelltown, Australia; and 21-year old strawweight Joshua Pacio of Baguio City, Philippines who will lock horns with 30-year old Hayato Suzuki of Japan.
Eric “The Natural” Kelly of Baguio City, Philippines, widely considered as one of the best homegrown martial artists to come out of the Philippines, takes on Kotetsu “No Face” Boku originally from South Korea by way of Japan, and is a former ONE Lightweight World Champion; unbeaten 28-year old “Rock Man” Chen Lei of Changsha, China combats bantamweight striker Saiful “The Vampire” Merican of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; 28-year old Herbert “The Blaze” Burns of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil squares off against Russian combatant Magomed Idrisov; and 28-year old female atomweight from Bangkok, Thailand Rika “Tinydoll” Ishige takes on the Philippines’ Jomary Torres.
Finally, on the card, 30-year old martial arts veteran Leandro Ataides of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, goes up against middleweight contender Michal Pasternak of Pinczow, Poland; and Malaysian warrior Marc Marcellinus will go shot for shot with Vietnam’s Tran Quang Loc, who is making his professional debut.
