Warm weather is timidly approaching and we’ve all been craving a nice drink in an outside area, right? Well, I have. And living in the Macau peninsula, Heart bar was a happy finding for me. Out of the many appetizing cocktails on their menu, here are their four must-try mixes.
Southside
A classic concoction, Southside is a beautifully fresh cocktail. Gin based with fresh mint, lime and caster sugar, it’s well balanced and refreshing. Perfect for the summer nights.
Polish 75
Still on the heat-fighting mode, but with a bit more sparkle, Polish 75 is a Belvedere vodka-based cocktail with St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur. It is quite aromatic with a lot of cucumber, a dash of lemon and topped off with Chandon Brut.
Man About Town
This cocktail leaves a mark and asks for a cigar – and I don’t even smoke. Rye whisky based with a long aftertaste, it’s a great nightcap. With a brandied cherry on top.
Whisky Figgy
This cocktail is a delicate whisky-based concoction. Very light and creamy, with apricot jam, honey water and pineapple juice nicely contrasting with thyme and the 12 year old whisky. Delicious.
