City of Dreams’ two-Michelin-starred haute cuisine restaurant Alain Ducasse at Morpheus is offering wine connoisseurs a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to sample some of the greatest vintages of all time as it launches the Iconic Wine Dinner Series this fall. The exclusive dinners feature five rare vintages and Grand Crus paired with a tailor-made, seven-course menu by Executive Chef Pierre Marty, as well as a glass of Dom Pérignon 2009. Drawing together some of the most sought-after icons from the food and wine worlds, the dinners are sure to attract serious wine aficionados as well as discerning bon vivants to the restaurant.
The dinner on November 16 focuses on Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, the winery widely regarded as producing Burgundy’s best Grand Crus. Guests at this dinner will sample the 1997 Richebourg, 1995 Grands-Échézeaux, 1990 Romanée-St.-Vivant, 1999 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Cuvée Duvault-Blochet, and the 2000 La Tâche, while there will also be a prize draw to win a bottle of the 1997 Grands-Échézeaux.
Known for its authentic and meticulously prepared dishes that pay homage to the great traditions and savoir-faire of French gastronomy, Alain Ducasse at Morpheus is already a firm favorite among the region’s oenophiles thanks to an incredible wine list that features more than 1,200 different labels and the “cave de jour”, the only interactive cellar among all the Ducasse restaurants around the globe where guests can walk into the cellar and choose their own bottle.
