Following the success of European Charity Carnival last year, Taipa Village is excited to introduce the anticipated Din Dong x Taipa Village Charity Carnival this year. Just in time for the festive Christmas season and collaborating with established Hong Kong Cartoon Character “Din Dong”, the exciting event aims to attract more guests and visitors this year.
Stroll and sample delicious treats from gourmet booths and enjoy live entertainment at the joyous affair. Showcasing local handicrafts, designer products, and accessories, as well as a string of interactive workshops and nostalgic interactive games to amaze the visitors, there’s no doubt it’s going to be an amazing affair for everyone.
A donation counter will also be set up by local charitable organization “The Salvation Army” to collect second-hand books and clothing. All revenue from the merchants’ sales and activities will be donated to The Salvation Army after the deduction of operational cost. The overall committee also aims to provide significant benefits to social service organizations through a series of charitable activities during the event period.
The prelude of the charity carnival features a creative art competition with “Din Dong” as the main theme character. This competition will take place from October 1 to November 20, 2017. It is open to local students in all tiers. And, winners of this competition will be awarded in the December carnival as part of the opening ceremony on December 16, 2017.
