Dress up and head to Spectacle on the night of New Year’s Eve filled with different genres of jazz and music performances, as well as art on the Spectacle’s walls, bringing a sense of cohesive energy and atmosphere. The idea is to turn the entire space into a mega dance floor, while New Year’s Eve specials are offered for a complete experience and unforgettable night!
The night includes jazz at the NYE pop-up bar, where they’ll be serving canapés, wine, and champagne. Hanjin and JW will also be animating the Spectacle with different genres of jazz music. The night goes on with an incredible exotic beats performances and a 360 degree dressed up Spectacle! Music is brought by award-winning Yusuke, with Hanjin & JW, resulting in a 100-minutes music party with great food and beverages.
This sound and image show is everything you need to have an original and unique New Year’s Eve! The stages offer different sensations and when combined with voice, percussion and jazz, offer an incredible experience. Party-goers are able to listen to some popular tunes, including “All About That Bass” and “Senorita” by the jazz band, but also Hanjin’s “Cheek to cheek” and much more!
This countdown program is designed and directed by the acclaimed, Yusuke Hatano. The multi-talented pianist, composer, musician composed music in movies, and for Canto-pop artists and commercials. In 2017, Yusuke Hatano won the Best Original Film Score at the 36th Hong Kong Film Awards, Los Angeles Golden Screen Awards, and Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards.
JW and Hanjin
MGM COTAI’s Spectacle is filled with LED screens activated with incredible unique imaging, crafted especially for those entering 2020 in grand style. Spectacle’s 25 walls are programmed to create a cohesive ambiance for an immersive experience. A mix of new and existing animation LED content that is unique and relevant to the music performances, but also live feed of the performances and a countdown animation.
There is also an array of spots you can hit to have a sumptuous dinner before the countdown party starts, namely Chun, a pop-up bar, Aji & Grill 58. Besides these, there are special offerings such as lavish tapas across this New Year’s Eve party, which include chilled marinated cucumber with black truffle sauce, tea-smoked crispy chicken, crispy-fried spring roll with foie gras, pork and cheese, crispy-fried frog leg with spicy salt, double-boiled superior bird’s nest with peach resin, chilled osmanthus pudding with wolfberry, amongst others. Pair these with classic and champagne cocktails for a night to remember!
