For someone who hasn’t welcomed the idea of getting married just yet, I find it difficult to picture my own ideal wedding. It may sound a little bit absurd that as a fashion and lifestyle blogger I’m supposed to be one step ahead, but in reality I have no idea of what my dream wedding dress would look like. Do i want a garden wedding? Or perhaps a ceremony by the beach? These questions remain unanswered and that’s okay because planning a wedding is not an easy task. Every bride goes through difficulties and a lot of it entails more than just finding answers to these questions. Every single detail has to be taken into account. From the flowers that go into the bridal bouquet to the icing on the cake, you’re going to need all the help that you can get before you hear your wedding bells chime.
St. Regis Macao at Cotai Central is a one-stop destination for everything that you might need whilst planning your special day. Aside from having a timeless and elegant venue, there are outdoor and indoor pillarless setting that can cater to over 400 guests with state-of-the-art equipment and exceptional dining experience. There is no doubt that the St.Regis Wedding team can truly make your dream wedding come true.
St. Regis Macao recently co-organized a wedding fair entitled Celebration of Love, together with Sheraton Macao, as a way to showcase what both properties had to offer for weddings and social events. There was even a runway show featuring some of the most beautiful white dresses I have ever seen. There was a mixture of everything from renowned designers such as Marchesa, Kenneth Pool, Monique Lhuillier and famous celebrity wedding dress guru Vera Wang. There were booths upon booths of wedding suppliers and caterers lined up in perfect display. The couples and guests could approach and plan their wedding literally on the spot. The St. Regis and Sheraton Macao’s culinary team also prepared the most scrumptious desserts and canapés inviting guests to sample them and really get a taste of what can be expected from their customisable menus.
The event’s highlight was a stunning showcase of the Marchesa Bridal Capsule Collection specially designed for St. Regis. The four-piece exclusive couture bridal gown was inspired by some of the most iconic resort destinations. While the cities were personally chosen by Marchesa designers, Georgina Chapman and and Keren Craig, the dresses also embodied the location they are meant to represent, and the type of setting they would be worn at. These destinations included the iconic city of Dubai, the paradise of Punta Mita, traditional Mumbai, and bustling city of New York. I personally loved the Punta Mita dress because it had a very relaxed feel to it.
While the collection will not be available at retail stores, prospective brides have the option to wear a custom-designed wedding gown by Marchesa by planning a wedding with St. Regis. On top of bespoke wedding arrangements, prospective brides also have the option of flying over to New York and staying in a suite, courtesy of the St. Regis for a dress fitting completing a truly unique and exciting bridal experience. The event ended with a traditional sabering ritual demonstrated by a professional member of the hotel’s banquet team, followed by the serving of wine. For someone with a sweet tooth like me, I couldn’t leave without trying a bit more of the stylish desserts intricately laid out on the sophisticated tables.
