BOK FESTIVAL
BOK Festival explores the prospect and potential of the theater with ideas of “connect”, “strive”, and “fight”. Celebrating five years since its launch, it has become an anticipated event in the local community. This year, it focuses on the audience dynamics. With the understanding of the need for more dynamic audiences in theater, more nonverbal and nonliteral interaction, it sought to address such a dilemma. Apart from staying in darkness to watch, weep, and giggle, audiences could and do imagine, move, participate, and even intrude in theater works. Walking out of the theater is certainly included in their options as well. This is how audience dynamics form.
When: June 28–July 9, 2017
Where: Art Garden, 265 Avenida do Dr. Rodrigo Rodrigues, and Old Court Building, 459 Av. da Praia Grande, Macau
