Since 1977, the International Museum Day has been going yearly and is organized worldwide every time on the month of May. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness concerning the importance of museums to society and human development. There are a number of local museums each year to help co-organise the large scale of the event that highlights to the community the work of museums. Come and join the celebrations, exhibitions, workshops, and lectures all free for your enjoyment.
