The DFS Masters of Time X collection is a fantastic showcase of craftsmanship, design and innovation. This year is the exhibition’s milestone tenth edition and several pieces were created especially for DFS and Masters of Time. Featuring over 450 exceptional, rare watches and exclusive jewellery masterpieces from 30 world-famous brands including Bvlgari, Franck Muller, Hublot, IWC, Jaquet Droz, Piaget, Roger Dubuis, Tag Heuer, Ulysse Nardin and Zenith, picking a favourite was a very difficult thing to do.
So instead of one favourite, here are our five of our favourite timepieces from the DFS Masters of Time X collection:
Bvlgari – Octo Tourbillion Sapphire
Bvlgari is known for its stylistic audacity and intense designs, and this new timepiece exclusive to DFS does not disappoint. Featuring synthetic, resilient sapphire crystals, the dial is a window into the thrilling mechanics of the clockwork underneath. It’s hard not to be fascinated by the hands of time, but with this piece, you could very easily become engrossed with every cog and wheel’s turn! Mechanical, fierce and strong, this watch would make any man feel powerful!
Piaget Altiplano – Piaget Rose
This piece is charming, regal and made with the upmost craftsmanship – three qualities which make for a stunning watch. It combines the icon of the Altiplano with the Queen of Flowers (the rose) both of which are passions of Piaget. Following the tradition of the Swiss manufacturer, the rose is made of 80 shimmering petals on wood marquetry, adorned with a dial of mother-of-pearl and 78 diamonds enclosed within a white gold case. It is delicate, ultra-thin, and a beautiful adornment for any ladies’ wrist.
IWC Schaffhausen – Bespoke

IWC Schaffhausen began making timepieces since way back in 1868 and has taken pride in producing pieces of long-lasting value ever since. This particular piece is one of the most sought-after models in the collection! With a 40.9mm diameter, it is perfect for those with slender wrists and everything, from the hands to the numbers on the dial, is proportionally smaller and made to fit perfectly. Made with 18 carat red gold and a dark brown alligator leather strap, it is easy to see why the brand call themselves “masters of time”!
Jaquet-Droz Tropical Bird Repeater
This fun and quirky timepiece from Jazuet-Droz is a stunning combination of classic design with a dash of playfulness. Rather than being just the static tropical image you see on the clock face, it is actually an animation – yes a moving image. The tropical animations pay homage to the beauty of nature and change every twelve seconds which means there are four variations per minute. The scenes mirror tropical bliss, and will really transport you away every time you glance at it. Limited to only eight pieces, it is the timepiece for those who value exclusivity!
Zenith Chronomaster DFS MOT X by Bamford Watch Department
Designed by Bamford Watch Department but manufactured by Zenith with an El Primero Caliber 400 (one of the most revolutionary movements manufactured by Zenith in 1987), the Chronomaster is a precision piece where every single component has been masterfully crafted and perfected.
