IKEA is a Swedish furniture and home accessories shop with outlets all over the world, now including Macau. In the city, IKEA Macau is located on the second floor of Nova Mall shopping complex in Taipa. The shop is organized into different areas of a person’s home. This includes bathroom, kitchen, bedroom–kids and adults–living room, and more. IKEA also has a big cafe and restaurant serving freshly made dishes, plus a supermarket with products from Sweden and other countries.
With two floors, it has several hubs ranging from the bathroom, living room, bedroom, among many others. There are also arranged areas according to local taste such as bedroom areas and a specific showroom with the exact model a local Macau resident lives in. With IKEA Macau now open, when you go to IKEA Hong Kong, you won’t be able to order at their shops and ask to send to Macau. You can, however, order online from IKEA Hong Kong and get the items in Macau. Large items—wardrobes, beds, mattresses, chairs, outdoor items—can be seen at the Macau store but will have to be pre-ordered because the store does not have a self-pickup for these. They have for smaller items, though, like kitchen and bathroom, pillowcases, shower and room curtains, sheets, among many others.
