Located on the ground floor of the Trust Leisure Garden building, in northern Macau, Don Don Donki is a supermarket opened 24-hours dedicated to selling Japanese goods. Specializing in traditional hot dishes directly from Japan, signature items include Wagyu beef, rice bowls, yakitori, teppanyaki (okonomiyaki and fried noodles), and more. There’s a semi-open kitchen inside Don Don Donki so guests can watch the chefs cooking. Another area is fitted with food stalls that sell roasted sweet potatoes, oden, croquettes, crepes, and other kinds of traditional Japanese street food.
Categories include food, fruits, sushi and sashimi, meat, delicatessen, alcoholic beverages, health and beauty products, groceries, sports, toys, pet-related products items, and more.
The supermarket is close to residential areas, schools, and other sites, ideal for people to grab some takeaway to take to work. Don Don Donki also employs sustainability measures such as providing customers with non-woven shopping bags and setting old battery recovery boxes along the supermarket to encourage recycling.
This is Don Don Donki’s first Macau store, part of their expansion plan across Asia. There are other outlets in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Thailand.
