Set on one of Tap Seac Square‘s colonial-style houses, the Jao Tsung-I Academy is a local museum-like venue dedicated to the life and work of the Chinese professor and researcher with the same name. Honored as Master of Sinology, the connection between Professor Jao and Macau was strong, hence the creation of a place dedicated to his contributions to the region.
The museum holds a permanent exhibition of calligraphies and paintings donated by Jao Tsung-I, allowing the public to learn and visit these art pieces. Jao Tsung-I Academy is also used for several free admission events organized by the government and the place can be rented out by associations and other local groups for events and other happenings.
Opening hours: Tuesday–Sunday, 10:00am–6:00pm
