Back in the day, The Grand Buffet at Grand Lisboa used to be one of Macau’s most popular buffets in town, with guests queuing up to savour its abundant and delicious spread. It’s now come back to SJM Resorts’ brand new resort Grand Lisboa Palace, in Cotai. The idea behind reenacting The Grand Buffet is to take people back in time but also to show visitors and tourists a bit of Macau’s past and history.
Drawing inspiration from Asia’s vibrant street food markets, The Grand Buffet offers high-quality food in the form of a buffet with 18 live cooking stations and a selection of more than 600 international recipes ranging from Chinese to Pan-Asian and Western cuisines. From freshly cut sashimi, sushi, dim sum, congee and noodle, Western-style meat roast as well as a series of Western specialties and delectable desserts including freshly made Japanese fluffy pancakes and Macau-style egg waffle and much more, there’s hardly anything amiss from the lavish spreads.
One of the highlights in the buffet is its outdoor barbecue pit, the first of its kind in Macau, in which guests can have a fine cut from their daily seasonal grill options cooked to their taste and served along house-made sauces. The outdoor barbecue pit is available on weekend evenings only. In addition, if visiting for dinner time, guests can select live seafood from the fishing tanks and have it cooked to their taste by the restaurant’s expert chefs.
Casual yet tastefully decorated and with a large dining area, The Grand Buffet is a great spot to gather friends and family over a generous meal. Those celebrating a special occasion may opt to book the outdoor private dining room to make it extra celebratory. We recommend a visit to the charming European-inspired Jardim Secreto garden right next to the restaurant too.
