Located in Barra, Bánh Mì Tik specializes in homemade and comfort food from Vietnam. Their focus is baguettes, shakes, and coffee-based drinks with specialties hailing from Vietnam as well. There is a bench outside where people can relax, and there are two or three inside as well. However, this restaurant is more of a takeaway spot. It’s very popular amongst locals and Vietnamese immigrants living in Macau.
Bánh mì thịt nướng is one of their signature baguettes: it’s marinated and grilled Vietnamese pork, creamy pate, fresh cilantro, cucumbers, chili, and tangy daikon and carrot pickles inside their crusty baguette. Bánh mì õpla is also a popular choice for breakfasts. “Õpla” originally comes from the French “oeufs au plat,” which means sunny side up eggs.
Their desserts include xôi ngọt ca de (custard sticky rice), xôi mặn (salty sticky rice) and xôi nếp than, a black glutinous sticky rice with an exotic taste topped with shredded coconut, sesame seeds and drizzled with warm coconut cream. As for drinks, people like their coffee (with condensed milk and sugar) hot or cold, as well as their shakes, which include avocado and other fruits.
Opening hours: Daily, 8:00am–8:00pm
