Located on the premises of former Windows, at Four Seasons Hotel Macao, Cotai Strip lobby level, Xiao Ting restaurant offers Chinese and Western specialties and a wide selection of premium teas. Xiao Ting, which translates into “dawn pavilion”, boasts timelessly elegant interiors that evoke the city’s cultural diversity. The spacious, filled with natural light room is decorated in a perfect balance of bright and light tones. The restaurant has a charming alfresco dining area that is surrounded by greenery too.
Open throughout the day for lunch, breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner, Xiao Ting’s has something to cater to all palates. From Eastern classics such as congee, dim sum, wonton noodle soup and wok-fried beef noodles, to Western favorites like steak frites, fish and chips, linguini carbonara, there’s hardly anything amiss from its curated menu. Additionally, this restaurant offers a tempting vegetarian menu which features vegetarian dumplings, “Impossible” Bolognese pasta, truffle and mushroom risotto and a few other plant-based options.
Chef’s recommendations include, among others, Singaporean-style wok-fried rice vermicelli, braised pork ribs glazed with coffee sauce, steamed cod medallion and laksa noodles. Those with a sweet tooth shouldn’t skip on Chef Ben’s grandma pineapple tart, a unique dessert based on a recipe passed down three generations in Executive Sous Chef Benjamin Lim’s family, or the “I love mango”, based on the well-loved Macau sweet, a mango soup with tapioca pearls, pomelo florets and a scoop of mango sorbet.
One of the highlights at Xiao Ting is a Tea Bible featuring an array of premium teas that guests may choose from, including a brief background of each tea, as well as its notes and tea pairing recommendations.
