This exhibition–with paintings by local artist, Wong Weng Cheong–explores the float space, interpreted through 3D grating technology and flow-force of balance installations. With sounds of the sea echoing through the exhibition space, the installations in the contradictions of materials, gravity, space, and balance create a shaky and floating sensory effect.
The paintings, through using grating technology that highlights visual tension and the sense of space, convey the shapes of water. Paintings deviating from the static position create an extending tension, producing internal dynamics between art and nature, hence cohesion in the 2D interior of the exhibition venue. The showcase is curated by local artist Feiin Leong.
