Ark-Association of Macau Art (AAMA) exclusively presents its annual art program entitled Art Power Jamming, under the theme of “Hidden Corner”. The program, which is sponsored by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, features three unique shows presented by three distinguished Macau talents, namely local artist Yaya Vai, talented handicrafter, Bezalel Ho, and Vanda Chan Ka Ian, an illustrator. The three shows take place from May until August, 2020 at Café Voyage.
The purpose of this annual art exhibition is to bring together the different styles of artists, regardless of their genders, ages, nationalities, and places of origin. These artists will create their art productions using their unique styles, methods, medium, but focusing on a common theme. The audience of the exhibition will experience different feelings as they view and appreciate these artworks.
The theme of this year, “Hidden Corner”, is inspired by the multicultural background of Macau. The city is a Sino-Portuguese cultural hub that has transformed itself from a traditional fishing village to a modern city that embraces the cultural diversity where eastern and western cultures coexist. As this city experiences urbanization and rapid modernization, how many people will notice the traditional “Hidden Corners” of Macau? These unique cultural landscapes witness the dramatic development of this territory. Yet, they are being forgotten by people. “Gracefull, by Bezalel Ho” exhibition kicks off on June 20, 2020.
