Together with Macau Literary Festival, Grand Lapa is hosting a unique experience of acoustic music and poetry appreciation entitled, Music X Poetry Jam@Vasco on March 14, 2016.
Jointly organized with The Script Road – Macau Literary Festival, and JAM Music, this special event adopts a trendy “open-mic” concept from western countries, in which everyone literally can perform at the microphone. It can be in any language from any culture, solo performer or band, instrumental or acoustic music, and traditional poetry or spoken word reading, as long as the content is appropriate and acceptable. The event also welcomes anyone who just wants to sit down and listen.
The 3-hour experience starts at 9:00pm with music session and poetry session interchangeably until 12:00am. Starting with a special performance “White and Red” by DEMO – a theatre and performance group invited by the Macau Literary Festival, follow up with the resident musicians – Rita & François, Beto Bebeto, Gabion Sisters Feat. Joao Pascual & Chino and along with other guest musicians and poets to get the audience revved up and ease their apprehensions of performing live in front of guests. As soon as you are ready, just register with the master of ceremonies, in turns, the microphone will be all yours.
Perform and sit-in for the Music X Poetry Jam@Vasco are completely free of charge. Everyone aged 18 and above is welcome.
