Suncity Group presents Miss Macau 2019 pageant competition! Featuring the theme “Celebrates the genuine beauty of Macau”, it will be held on August 13, at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Arena. Tickets for the grand final night will be available for public sale on July 25. The Miss Macau Pageant is widely acclaimed as the largest, most time-honored and prestigious pageant event in Macau. With the mission of promoting Macau culture among local residents and visitors, 15 pageant competitions have been held since its launch in 1972.
The pageant incorporates preliminary interview rounds and the final round. The preliminary rounds were wrapped up on June 29, with candidates selected based on the comprehensive review of the expert committee. This consisted of James Wong, Assistant Vice President of Marketing Communications of Suncity Group; Cherry Ng, Director of Macau Pageant Alliance; Laura Li, Chairman of Macau Pageant Alliance; Patricia Cheong, Chairman of MM Marketing and a CPPCC member in Hainan province, and Kwok-Wai Chin, a renowned production manager. Twelve candidates were shortlisted for the final round from a pool of over 100 qualified applicants. The 12 shortlisted pageant candidates–Nora Gu, Crystal Wong, Emily Chan, Emily Yau, Bobo Leong, Romi Wang, Kayii Lei, Jocelina Law, Danielle Wong, Yammie Loi, Angelica Da Conceição Carvalhosa and Amber Ng–will receive one-month’s intensive training sessions from experts in makeup application, etiquette, personal image, fashion styling, interpersonal communication, catwalk, and performance, to help bring out their best for the Miss Macau 2019 pageant final.
Meanwhile outdoor shooting agendas have been scheduled to spotlight candidates at overseas destinations and multiple scenic spots in Macau, and to showcase impressive local landmarks and culture. A video will also be shot in Da Nang, Vietnam, to promote the contest. The grand final of Suncity Group Presents: Miss Macau 2019 is scheduled for the night of August 13, with several rounds taking place designed to test each contestant. Hong Kong famous band Supper Moment and Dear Jane will perform at the show. Also local designers have also created unique costumes featuring a Macau theme which is expected to thrill the audience.
