The Activities Youth Centre–Centro de Actividades Juvenis do Bairro do Hipódromo–is a sports structure designed for youngsters between 13 and 29 years old. However, these can bring their friends, parents, or other family members to participate in the activities as well. This center houses several different areas: from an outdoor ball games’ field to a fencing gym, there’s also a bowling alley fitted with four lanes, a climbing wall, several computer rooms, and a fitness room as well.
The Activities Youth Centre aims to give the younger ones a place to play sports with their friends and family. It’s located close to residential buildings such as Villa de Mer and La Marina, but also to the outdoor Parque Urbano da Areia Preta (Areia Preta urban park), where there’s a playground for kids and resting areas. There are several centers like this around Macau, but this is one the most complete ones when it comes to a wide array of different activities, especially in the northern area of the city.
