Häagen-Dazs is an American ice cream brand created in 1961 in Brooklyn. It has now spread to all four corners of the world, featuring hundreds of different ice cream flavours and scents, which also vary according to the country they’re made in. Häagen-Dazs has two shops in Macau: one in the centre–Leal Senado Square, close to the cathedral and Cathedral Café–and one at The Venetian Macao.
This brand has widely known flavours such as vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, but other interesting options are also available, such as taro, citrus, Bailey’s, rum and raisins, cookies and cream, amongst so many others. Häagen-Dazs at Senado Square also features a cute little kiosk right in front of the Macau post office headquarters–which has a very interesting history that you can read here–with seating area outdoor where people can relax, have an ice cream or one of their other creations, like milkshakes and coffee-based drinks. The shop itself is indoors, for the ones who’d rather be under the air-con. At The Venetian Macao, Häagen-Dazs is located close to the food court, which is good for those looking for a sweet treat after a meal.
Opening hours: Sunday–Thursday, 10:30am–11:00pm, Friday and Saturday, 10:30am–12:00am (The Venetian Macao branch)
daily, 10:00am–11:00pm (Senado branch)
