Stretching from Macao Science Centre all the way to the Kun Iam Statue, by the Pear River Delta’s banks, the Kun Iam Statue Waterfront Leisure Area offers a number of facilities designed for families. Covering an area of 15,000 square meters, this leisure area is an outdoor recreational facility like no other in town and grants a fun-loving time for the whole family in a breathtaking setting.
Open to the public since May 2021, the Kun Iam Statue Waterfront Leisure Area comprises a walking trail, gateball, and multifunctional courts, a roller skating rink, a well-equipped outdoor fitness area, and a state-of-the-art kids playground with countless attractions suitable for children of different ages. The multifunctional courts operate on a first-come-first-served basis. Along the 400 meters walking trail, there are lockers, vending machines with refreshments, seating areas, restrooms, and hand washing stations at the convenience of visitors. Next to the kids’ playground, a glasshouse offers further vending machines and a seating area.
Further facilities are set to open progressively throughout 2021.
