Set in Seac Pai Van Park, in Coloane, the Macao Giant Panda Pavilion is amongst the most popular attractions in town. The pavilion is home to four rare giant pandas: Kai Kai Xin Xin and their twins Jian Jian and Kang Kang.
To mimic the pandas habitat and keep the harmony with the natural landscape, the Macao Giant Panda Pavilion has been built along the hill and features a translucent roof to allow light into the indoor enclosure. The structure is comprised of two indoor and two outdoor areas (both open to the general public) and features two viewing paths set at different heights to offer visitors a view of the fluffy pandas. The so-called happy family is often found lounging or munching on bamboo.
In addition, Seac Pai Van Park features several other attractions that will keep you busy all day; a walk-in aviary, a small zoo with primates and other animals, a medicinal plant garden, an exotic plant garden, a panda-themed gift shop, a playground for kids, outdoor fitness equipment, a shaded picnic area and even a small museum, Natural and Agrarian Museum.
Furthermore, those looking to learn more about the giant pandas may pay a visit to the Macao Giant Panda Information Centre which is located at Seac Pai Van Park too.
Tickets to the Macao Giant Panda Pavilion are priced at MOP $10 for paying attendees. Visitors under 12 and over 65 are granted free entrance. Tickets may be purchased at the gift shop located by the park’s middle entrance.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00am to 1:00pm and from 2:00pm to 5:pm
