The Nam Van Lake Nautical Centre is the public outdoor space that was established to organize international-standard competitions. It houses a set of comprehensive onshore facilities.
In addition to international dragon boat invitation races, which happen in June every year, the center is a training ground for water sports athletes and an ideal venue for cultural and recreational activities, and carnivals. This is one of the locations for the annual Macao Light Festival which happens every December.
Overlooking scenic Nan Van Lake the promenade is a beautiful outdoor space, free of traffic and kid-friendly. There is a permanent “Floating Wonder” installation, a 30m long floating light projection that illuminates the waters every night. Locals love to come here for a sunset stroll as well as for an early morning or late afternoon outdoor exercise.
There are a few restaurants within a walking distance, such as Caffé B Macau, Sio Seng Hin Ramen and Henri’s Galley.
