Located in southwestern Coloane on Estrada de Coloane, the main road leading up from Coloane Village to Cheoc Van Beach, Oscar Farm is an educational farm that covers an area of about 7,000 square meters. Even though there are limited parking spaces next to it, the Cheoc Van Swimming Pool 1 bus stop is just a few steps away. Oscar Farm is a great destination for a family outing in the midst of nature.
This verdant farm comprises several facilities designed to be enjoyed by the whole family. One of the most-loved attractions at Oscar Farm is its animal barns harboring house water buffalos, pigs, and goats. Close to the buffalo barn, there is a compost and biochar production area. On the farm’s lowest level lays a neat crop display area with rows of green vegetables with its watering system.
Moreover, Oscar Farm includes a 1,150-meter long loop-shaped trail dubbed Oscar Trail. Hikers may access the trail next to the farm’s main entrance, on the left hand side. On its highest point, this path offers fabulous views over Cheoc Van Bay. Throughout the path, made by hiking steep rock steps up, hikers will find different species of trees and birds.
In addition, Oscar Farm features eight holiday camp houses and a shaded picnic area. However, these bungalows are only available for booking by registered associations in Macau. Special farm-guided tours for associations and schools may be arranged upon application to the Municipal Affairs Bureau.
Opening hours: Daily, 9:00am–6:00pm
