Among Macanese cuisine eateries in town, Riquexó can surely compete for the status of most authentic one. Over 30 years of home-style cooking experience blended with warm welcoming service make Macanese locals keep coming back. The restaurant is located in Macau Peninsula, nearby the busy Horta e Costa street.
Run by a Macanese family, particularly Senhora Aida de Jesus now in her 100s, this is the place to visit if you are willing to explore local home-style cooking specialties and local comfort food. Despite her age, you can still find the elegant founder reading the newspapers in the restaurant, making sure her business is running smoothly.
The three most loved dishes served at Riquexó are curry chicken, feijoada, and the famous minchi, which is said to be one of the best in town. Moreover, there is a takeaway section with reasonably priced and simple Macanese food.
Opening hours: Monday to Sunday from 12:00pm to 9:30pm
