Sam Yuk Middle School is a private education institution located in Taipa. This international school is one of the 5,600 Seventh-day Adventist schools in the world and the only one in Macau. It was first inaugurated in 1953 on a different location and closed in 1957 due to lack of human resources. However, it reopened 19 years later at its current location.
It presently teaches students from 25 different countries and it’s divided into two sections: Chinese and English, with the latter covering more years, from kindergarten to secondary level. Upon completion of schooling, students receive a diploma and certificate either in grammar subjects or in vocational courses.
Sam Yuk Middle School occupies a large piece of land where there are classrooms, a gym and lots of outdoor space for the children and teenagers to play. The school is located between the Macau Stadium and Galaxy Macau hotel. There’s also several bus stations nearby, as well as a light rail station.
Taipa Village is just a short walk away, where one can find McDonald’s, a section of Kiang Wu private hospital, a temple and other attractions and entertainment venues like restaurants and bars.
