Taipa Library is located on the basement floor of Taipa Central Park. It was officially put into public service on 1st September 2015 following its trial operation from 15th April the same year. Occupying a total area of 2,200 square meters, it provides the largest space for public use among all public libraries. A large amount of translucent glass is used on doors and windows to separate the areas, allowing natural light into the library.
The library has four major zones, including a general reading area, a ‘children’s library’, newspapers and periodicals reading area and a multimedia room. It also houses a theater for children, an outdoor garden, a multi-function room, nursing room, among other areas. This is a great place to study, read the daily newspapers or relax while in this area. We’ve included this library on our article on the best libraries in Macau.
Opening hours: Monday, 2:00pm–00:00am, Tuesday–Sunday, 8:00am–00:00am
