The American Love, by Robert Indiana
Pop-art has been trendy since its inception, which started with internationally renowned artist, Andy Warhol. This time, we’d like to introduce the work of American artist, Robert Indiana. This chunky and simple sculpture reads “Love”, a universal feeling known by everyone. You don’t really have to understand English to comprehend this work. That’s probably what’s most striking about the artwork where it’s comprehensible to almost everyone. With elements strongly connecting it to the world of pop art, “Love” is great for photo taking and to better understand what the 70s were all about. This is part of one of the world most recognizable art series. A self-proclaimed ‘American painter of signs’, Indiana’s artwork explores American identity, personal history and the power of language.
