Macao City Fringe Festival – themed ‘All around the city, our stages, our patrons, our artists’ – has become a distinctive event with innovative performances derived from the abstract concepts of artists from near and far presented in the streets and lanes of the city. This year, 70 performances from 23 programmes include such novelties as the Spitfire Company (Czech Republic) performing ‘Antiwords,’ Catherine Ireton (Ireland) putting on a music show ‘In Good Hands’ in a hair salon, and KheN (Netherlands) performing ‘5 Women’ featuring a birthday party in a café. Look out for the workshops!
