Cancellation of the 29th Macao International Fireworks Display Contest
Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) notice:
In the aftermath of typhoon Hato, the entire city is committed to various tasks for restoration and recovery from the catastrophe. Considering the aftermath circumstances and various factors, MGTO announced that the 29th Macao International Fireworks Display Contest is officially canceled.
One of the most anticipated events of the year is the Macao International Fireworks Display Contest. This year’s performances will showcase outstanding fireworks displays from countries including Australia, Austria, France, the United Kingdom, Japan, Philippines, Germany, Italy, Portugal and China battling for the honors.
These countries are showcasing their capabilities to choreograph their displays to both music and laser light projections for a spectacular performance in the sky!
Before the firework performances, residents and visitors can enjoy the Anim’Arte Nam Van area for a full day of fun with the family with the facilities and little shops and cafes. So stroll around, visit the shops and cafes then enjoy the fireworks display contest.
